The Ottomans commenced the construction of four gun-platforms from which to bombard us… Another was at the Mandra, which showed that they intended to bombard us frontally. The third was by the vineyard of Paolo Miche and the fourth on the Margerita Heights, which indicated the coming bombardments of the bastion of Provence.
